LENR INSIGHTS Monday January 5, 2015

It is Monday, and what could be more useful for our great cause than thinking about LENR Insights? What is this LENR, really-really?

Let's use some inspiring Mottos:

First Motto
A theory is the more impressive the greater is the simplicity of its premises, the more different are the kinds of things it relates and the more extended the range of its applicability.
 (Albert Einstein)

For people who are not actually able to create something new or smart, a patented method to be distinguished is attacking the giants of science, demonstrating that I, the modest follower can so smartly show where the greatest Men of Science made a blunder. Uncle Albert is a very special target, even Infinite Energy has published ome papers regarding his conceptual blunders.

Just telling you that No 1 virtue of a theory is not to be impressive but it is useful, solves a lot of problems and helps us to make a lot of actionable predictions., that makes it influential. However I think, Einstein's theory about theory can be adapted
to LENR too.
- Simple premises- means first of all otherness and, paradoxically, extreme complexity. Only a new Einstein will make a reasonably simple synthesis of this complexity.
- Yes, the future theory will reveal close relationship between a broad set of different things working together in synergy (fine tautology, isn' it?)
50 years from now the application of what now has the name LENR will go much beyond energy- it will be a mode of thinking and the root of an impressive (Uncle Albert likes the word!) Diversity- not imaginable today..

Second Motto
Things are not always what they seem; the first appearance deceives many; the intelligence of a few perceives what has been carefully hidden.
(Phaedrus)

This is simpler to comment: after 25+ years the hidden things could be much easily seen if we could abandon some precious myths- as LENR being only physics, only nuclear, being natural and not man-made when useful.

It is welcome that Vessela Nikolova has just published a short essay by the regretted Italian scientist, Emilio del Giudice- about what the Fleischmann Pons announcement seemed to be to the nuclear physicists- an arrogant provocation. It was not more efficient to say this is a different nuclear reaction, the discovery was considered kind of cold hot fusion, easy victim of the cruel theories. A second deadly blow came simultaneously- lack of reproducibility. It was a good-men made miracle that Cold Fusion survived till it could be converted in a superior, viable form.
(just wait still a bit!)

Alternative modes of thinking around LENR, an example:
The Nature of Chemonuclear Transition by Hidetsugu Ikegami

A captivating scientific lecture- it says a lot about lithium an element that plays a leading role in the LENR opera. Thanks to Bo Gardmark!

We need to do some statistics, my impression is that the number of LENR sources is  increasing and the frequency  of apparition increases. For example

TWO LENR QUESTIONS IN RUSSIAN

Холодный ядерный синтез уже работает?
Cold fusion is already working?
http://maxpark.com/community/603/content/3200597
Answer: Based on Rossi's achievements we still cannot be absolutely sure.

Цену на нефть убил холодный ядерный синтез:
Has the price of the oil killed cold nuclear fusion?:
http://espreso.tv/blogs/2014/10/16/cenu_na_neft_ubyl_kholodnyy_yadernyy_syntez
Answer: this mixes geopolitics with Lugano experiment- but thinking reasonably there
is no connection between the Lugano experience and the price of oil (I repeat this). The reverse- energy glut cannot kill
cold fusion, its era will come, not as fast as we wish but certainly it will. We just postponed a bit
the end of fossil energy sources and the renewables are far from ideal.

To insight from outside:
Life gives a formidable example of surprise. Is this an anomalous frog? No XXXX XX, it is a new frog that comes from Nature not for the standard manuals of frogology (actually part of herpetology)
Fanged frog doesn't lay eggs: 'She squirted tadpoles all over my hand
Vive la difference- for LENR too.

This issue ends with really bad news- probably we will lose a well organized New Energy info:  source: http://zpenergy.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=3506&mode=nested&order=0&thold=0#15484 And a good journalist.
